The impending industrial action on Wednesday, 30th January 2019 will have significant impact on the services provided by the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital.

On the 30th January 2019 and on any subsequent days of industrial action, the hospital will be providing acute ophthalmology emergency department services only through doctor to doctor referral by prior telephone arrangement. There will be no ENT emergency department service.

All other services will be postponed.

If you have an appointment or a procedure scheduled for Wednesday 30 January you will be contacted by the hospital to reschedule your appointment.

The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital will endeavour to keep all our patients informed in a timely manner however as we rely on national negotiations for updates and can only plan based on the updates we receive.
