Visiting the Hospital
In order to protect the safety of patients/staff we are requesting that the public do not visit the hospital at this time. With the exception of:
- Parents visiting or staying with their Children.
- Nominated carer/ family member assisting with the care of psychiatric patients, confused patients or vulnerable young adults.
No children should visit the hospital unless they have a scheduled appointment or attending the Emergency Department. The visiting restrictions also apply to patients attending the Emergency Department and the Outpatients Departments.
We are appealing to members of the public to co-operate with these necessary restrictions.
If you have visited an area that has confirmed Coronavirus and are experiencing symptoms please do not visit the RVEEH, contact your GP by telephone.
Please note that hospital appointments will proceed as normal unless you have been otherwise informed.
If you have a hospital appointment that you cannot attend, please call us to reschedule your appointment.
The contact number to ring will be on your appointment card or letter.
Covid – 19: Please do not attend for your scheduled appointment unless it has been confirmed by telephone by the hospital. If you still do have an appointment please only arrive 5 minutes prior to time of appointment as access to the hospital will not be permitted.
