Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:

Director of ICT
Grade VIII (€70,373-€84,877)
Fixed Term Contract 5 years

This is a senior management post within the hospital. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the RVEEH ICT Programme into the future. The Director of ICT will be responsible for the development of ICT systems to deliver improved data to support decision making and financial management, business intelligence and analysis in relation to the performance and ongoing operations of the hospital. S/He will develop the digital infrastructure to support the experience of the patient journey in RVEEH and the hospital’s external clinics via smoother and more efficient patient pathways together with the provision of increased levels of patient information.

The successful candidate will report to the hospital’s Authorised Officer or his/her nominee.

Candidates must have on the latest date of application:

Essential Criteria
• A minimum level 8 qualification on the NFQ (or international equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• At least 10 years of ICT experience, of which a minimum of 5 years’ significant experience at senior leadership level in a large complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in the creation and delivery of ICT strategies and the delivery of transformational large complex ICT programmes and projects with significant associated
change management.
• Demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, change management and influencing skills.
• A proven track record of achievement in a performance driven organisation.

Desirable:
• A level 9 NFQ (or international equivalent) qualification in a relevant discipline.
