Grade IV – Medical Secretary/Clinical Typist

Job Description

Full Time 37hrs per week – Permanent Contract

Experience/Knowledge Essential:

  • At least 1 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Excellent typing skills (in excess of 60wpm)
  • Excellent Knowledge of medical terminology
  • A high capacity for responsibility
  • Excellent IT skills including proficiency in MS Office suiteExcellent, planning, organisation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the NHO Healthcare Records Standards

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in the health sector
  • Working knowledge of CAPAS/PAS
Qualifications Essential:

  •  Be educated to Leaving Certificate standard or have passed an examination of comparable standard Second Level, or have satisfactory experience in an office of clerical officer or designated post

Desirable:

  • Healthcare Records Management
