Job Description

(Full-time, Permanent Contract)

The post holder will report to the Medical HR Manager and will be responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective medical manpower service to management, medical and AHP staff.

Professional Knowledge and Experience:

Essential

  • Knowledge and experience of data management and analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of workforce planning
  • A good understanding of employment legislation
  • Have a sound knowledge of best practice HR
  • Strong MS Office skills including excellent knowledge of MS Excel

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the health service
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical workforce structures
  • Have a detailed understanding of the medical manpower function as it operates within the acute hospital sector
  • Knowledge of public service recruitment policies and legislation and the European Working Time Directive
  • A working knowledge of the requirements of medical recruitment, training and registration

Qualification:

Essential

  • CIPD / relevant qualification in Human Resources Management

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
