Job Description
(Grade VII)
Permanent Full time – 35 hours per week
The postholder will report to the Director of Human Resources.
The post holder will support the Director of Human Resources in providing a best practice HR service for the hospital and its employees.
The postholder will collaborate and advise managers on best practice in human resource management and related issues, in line with HR Policies & Procedures. This responsibility
will include participation in recruitment & retention initiatives, employee relations, workforce planning, HR data analytics and any other HR projects and initiatives that may be assigned from time to time.
Essential Requirements:
- A 3rd level qualification in Human Resources Management (CIPD) min QQI Level 8
- A minimum 5 years’ experience at a senior level in a Human Resource management role including developing, managing and delivering effective HR Strategies
- Extensive experience in a Human Resource role that has involved dealing with HR matters (operational and strategic level) including recruitment, employer relations, absence management, staff engagement, performance management, mentoring, workforce planning and provision of a HR advisory service
- Experience of dealing with Industrial Relations matters including negotiations with staff and representative groups in relation to personnel matters
- Hospital / healthcare experience a distinct advantage
