Job Description

The Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital is a voluntary acute specialist hospital and is the national tertiary centre for the treatment of Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose, Throat, Head and Neck disorders. Recognised as a University Teaching Hospital, it has a tradition of care stretching back to 1814 and has looked after patients on its present site since 1904.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

ICT Security & Compliance Manager
Grade VII, €51,342 – €66,742

The ICT Security & Compliance Manager will work closely with the Director of ICT to manage the ongoing security and compliance of the hospital’s Information and Communication Systems (Clinical and Administrative). The ICT Security & Compliance Manager will be an integral part of the ICT team.

At the latest date of application, candidates must have the following experience:

• 5 years’ general experience in an ICT role covering network, server and cloud environments
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a security and compliance related role.
• Demonstrated expertise in general ICT areas such as networking, server administration and active directory
• Good understanding of information security systems and practices
• Have an advanced understanding of compliance related procedures
• Knowledge of SIEM and experience of responding to security alert incidents
• Experience and demonstrated expertise in at least one area of security operations such as Anti Virus, Vulnerability, Threat Management and/or Intruder Detection Systems, compliance.
• Excellent Documentation skills – creating and maintaining operational procedures

At the latest date of application, candidates must have the following Qualifications:

• Have a third level qualification in IT or in a related discipline
