Job Description

The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital is a voluntary specialist Hospital for the treatment of Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose, Throat/Head and Neck disorders and a tertiary referral centre for Ophthalmology. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills, professional leadership and strategic planning for the following post:

CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER 2

NIGHT DUTY

PERMANENT POSITION (1.0 WTE)

Essential Requirements:
• Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
• Three years post registration experience
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Ability to teach and competency in preceptorship
• High standard of written and verbal communication
• Engagement in nursing audit and research
• Commitment to quality initiation in the healthcare service
• Competence in commonly used IT applications i.e., Microsoft Excel, word & power-point

Desirable Requirements:
• Post registration qualification in Ophthalmic or ENT/Head and Neck Nursing or the equivalent experience
• Recognized management course
