The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital is a voluntary specialist Hospital for the treatment of Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose, Throat/Head and Neck disorders and a tertiary referral centre for Ophthalmology. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills, professional leadership and strategic planning for the following post:

Clinical Nurse Manager II

Macular Treatment centre (39 hours / week)

An exciting opportunity now exists for a progressive and enthusiastic nurse to manage our newly built Macular Treatment Centre

Essential Requirements:

• Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland

• Five  years post registration experience
• Recognized management course or a commitment to undertake same

• Post registration qualification at Level 8 in Ophthalmic nursing
• Relevant experience of working with Ophthalmology patients in a clinical setting

• Evidence of continuing professional development

• High standard of written and verbal communication
• Ability to teach and competency in preceptorship
• Evidence of engagement in nursing audit and Quality initiatives
• Competence in commonly used IT applications i.e. Microsoft Excel, word & power-point
