Specified Purpose Contract – CNM 2 Diabetic Retinopathy Care Nurse Specialist Ophthalmic Outpatients
Job Description
An exciting opportunity now exists for a temporary appointment to a key role in the hospital’s delivery of the Diabetic Screening Service.
39 HOURS PER WEEK/1.0(WTE)
Essential Criteria
- Currently registered/eligible for registration with an An Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachaisna hEireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland)
- Five years post registration experience, which must include 2 years in ophthalmic nursing
- Post Registration qualification at level 8 in Ophthalmic Nursing
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Exposure to key clinical skills
- Experience in counselling and teaching
- Evidence of engagement in nursing audit and Quality initiatives
- Competence in commonly used IT applications
