Job Description

The Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital is a voluntary acute specialist hospital and is the national tertiary centre for the treatment of Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose, Throat/Head and Neck disorders.  Recognised as a University Teaching Hospital, it has a tradition of care stretching back to 1814 and has looked after patients on its present site since 1904.

 

CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER 2 – Anaesthetics

Two-year fixed term contract

Salary Scale €56,353 – €66,622

 

Applications are invited from highly motivated and suitably qualified candidates who have a track record in the delivery of consistently high standards of care in a challenging, evolving environment and who will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills, professional leadership, and strategic planning in an evolving service. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their capacity for professional responsibility, leadership, and business management.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Currently registered or eligible for registration as a Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
  • Five years post registration experience, which must include 2 years in Anaesthetics / PACU including paediatrics
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Proven management, leadership, and organisational competencies
  • Evidence of engagement in Nursing Audit & Quality Initiatives
  • Proficiency in commonly used IT applications e.g., Word©, Excel© Medisight

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Post Graduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing
  • Teaching and assessing qualification / experience
