Job Description
The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital is a JCI accredited voluntary acute specialist hospital and is the national tertiary centre for the treatment of Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose Throat Neck disorders. Recognised as a University Teaching Hospital, it has a tradition of care stretching back to 1814 and has looked after patients on its present site since 1904.
Exciting opportunities exist for experienced Staff Nurses in the following areas:
- Operating Department to include Recovery and Cataract Unit
- New Macular Treatment Centre
- Day Care Unit
- Emergency Department
- Preadmission Unit
- Medical / Surgical Ward
- Paediatric Nurses for day duty / night duty, Full-time / Part-time
- Outpatients Department – Ophthalmology ENT
Permanent Full-Time Positions

Essential criteria:
- Currently registered with the Irish Nursing Board
- Minimum of twelve months experience in an acute area within the previous two years
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have a high standard of written and verbal communication
- Evidence of continuing professional development
