The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital is the national tertiary centre for the treatment of Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose, Throat, Head and Neck disorders and is JCI Accredited. Recognised as a University Teaching Hospital, it has a tradition of care stretching back to 1814 and has looked after patients on its present site since 1904. Students from all three medical schools in Dublin attend the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital for undergraduate training.The Hospital wishes to recruit a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is seeking a dynamic professional with a proven track record of exceptional performance. Reporting to the hospital’s Council, the successful candidate will lead the executive management team and have responsibility for all aspects of the executive, strategic and operational management functions to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the hospital.The CEO will implement the agreed vision for the future, including changes to improve the quality of care and to develop an organisational culture that is open to and empowers innovation, creativity and learning in a clinical setting.

The CEO will be responsible for the redevelopment and transformation of the hospital as it enters an exciting new phase that will modernise hospital facilities, enhance patient experience and expand the Sláintecare model of care within the community.

The CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership over the hospital’s sustainability programme and the achievement of the national sustainability targets, through embedding environmental responsibility in all aspects of hospital operations.

The salary scale for the post will be in line with the Department of Health and Children Consolidated Salary Scales. Remuneration for the post is in line with CEO Band H2 Hospitals, the current range of which is €99,829 – €106,866 per annum.

Candidates must have a relevant 3rd level degree, and preferably a post graduate qualification in a discipline relevant to the general management in a Hospital or Healthcare setting. A background in and knowledge of the Health Services Sector is imperative together with senior management experience of at least five years within a medium to large organisation in either the public or private sector.

Beidh an POF freagrach as athfhorbairt agus claochlú an ospidéil agus é ag dul isteach i gcéim nua spreagúil a dhéanfaidh nuachóiriú ar áiseanna ospidéil, a fheabhsóidh eispéireas othar agus a leathnóidh samhail chúraim Sláintecare laistigh den phobal.

Soláthróidh an POF ceannaireacht straitéiseach agus oibríochtúil ar chlár inbhuanaitheachta an ospidéil agus ar bhaint amach na spriocanna inbhuanaitheachta náisiúnta, trí fhreagracht chomhshaoil a leabú i ngach gné d’oibríochtaí ospidéil.

Tugann an ról seo deis uathúil chun todhchaí ospidéil speisialtóra a mhúnlú le hoidhreacht shaibhir agus fís láidir don nuálaíocht agus don inbhuanaitheacht i gcúram sláinte.

Beidh scála tuarastail don phost ag teacht le Scálaí Tuarastail Comhdhlúite na Roinne Sláinte agus Leanaí. Tá luach saothair don phost ag teacht le hOspidéil Banda H2 POF, agus is é an raon reatha ná €99,829 – €106,866 in aghaidh na bliana.
