CNM3 operating theatres (1.0 WTE)

Job Description

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their capacity for professional responsibility, leadership and business management to oversee activity in 6 operating theatres and post-anaesthetic care unit.

Essential criteria:

1. Currently registered or eligible for registration as a Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
2. Five years post registration in peri-operative nursing care
3. Ophthalmic/ENT/Head and Neck operating theatre experience
4. 2 year’s experience at CNM2 or equivalent with evidence of strategic planning
5. Evidence of continuing professional development
6. Recognised management course or a commitment to undertake same
7. Proven management, leadership and organisational competencies
8. Excellent written and verbal communication
9. Commitment to continuous quality improvement in the healthcare setting
10. Proficiency in commonly used IT applications e.g. Word©, Excel©
